The Embarrassing Feeling

Understanding Hemorrhoids

When this is forced upon the area, it increases the swelling. This in turn creates issues when it’s time for more bowel movements. Eventually it causes constipation and more trauma.
There are various reasons how hemorrhoids occur, but the usual thought is that bearing down during constipation has is a big part of it. Then of course stressing the muscles in the lower pelvic area is an issue. However, a simple hormonal change during pregnancy and carrying the added weight can be a cause as well.
When you know you have hemorrhoids
The easiest way to figure it out is if there is blood on the stool.
Then again, you could see it on the TP or after a quick sit down on the throne. These are common, and issues with passing stools are most likely a clear cut sign. The reason being is the swollen venal tissues are blocking the way.
You may also notice weird feelings, as well as the itching and pain when using the bathroom. When your hemorrhoids are severe, you will start to notice them on the outside of the anus. They will look like a bunch of grapes.
Whenever a hemorrhoid is traumatized, they will get bruised just like the rest of your body. Don’t be surprised if you see an array of colors like the rainbow.
How they’re diagnosed
Whenever you spot blood in the toilet water, we recommend seeking advice from a health professional. However, this can also be a more serious issue such as colon cancer.
The first step will probably be to send you away with some sort of ointment. Depending on the symptoms you may wind up needing a trip to get a colonoscopy. These aren’t pleasant, but they are extremely helpful. The good news is you will be under sedation. In fact, most patients don’t remember anything.
